Addicted to drugs? Our Christian Recovery program can help you become drug and alcohol free!

Call us today at 385-345-4115 for help with your prescription drug addiction or severe alcohol withdrawals.

You are worthy of love and a life full of joy and recovery!

Addiction to drugs and alcohol can devastate you and your family.  When you are an alcoholic or an addict, you are not concerned with relationships or work or friendships.

Family becomes a burden. Usually alcohol abuse and alcoholism take center stage in your world. Abuse of alcohol can rob you of the ability to care about yourself or others.

According to alcohol abuse statistics, over 30% of kids under 17 drink at least once a year.

When asked, however, less than 1% of kids could tell the interviewer what the signs and symptoms of alcoholism were, or the side effects of alcohol withdrawal.

No one knew you can and often do have seizures from alcohol withdrawal. Those are frightening statistics!  This means that most adults grow up not knowing the consequences of what they put in their body!

We have the most educated, compassionate staff here. Our doctors are knowledgeable and well trained in all aspects of treating drug and alcohol addictions. They will be there with you through all the alcohol withdrawal stages as the symptoms last several days.
This is to help you with the physical symptoms as well the emotional, which is alcohol withdrawal syndrome. You may wonder what is alcohol withdrawal syndrome and how long can alcohol withdrawal last?

Alcohol withdrawal syndrome is what happens to you when, after drinking heavily for a long time, you suddenly just stop. It can start with anxiety and depression, and then over a couple of days the physical withdrawals set in. This is the point where withdrawals become dangerous and require medical intervention.

In our spacious, peaceful surroundings, you don’t have to worry about being in any danger physically or mentally. Our staff will assist you with all your needs until you are able to assist yourself. We have around the clock nursing and a therapist every day of the week who will check on you daily, as will our medical staff. Your safety and comfort are our top concern. We need you to feel safe so that when the detox part is over, you can move on to the real healing.

In our program, we will make sure you get the best therapeutic groups and individual counseling offered. We use only evidence based techniques, and our clinical staff are all fully licensed and have a master’s degree or higher. We have a psychologist on site as well as a psychiatrist, both certified to treat addictions. Our doctors are also trained in addictionology, with years of experience in helping addicts recover.

When you first arrive at our program, you will be greeted by our warm, friendly, and compassionate front office staff. They are made up of billing specialists who will help you walk you through the maze of insurance requirements, our medical intake specialists who will assess your physical condition and any withdrawal potential and our clinical intake specialists who will assess the degree of Christian treatment you may need.

Once you are admitted, if you are in need of medical detox, we have a special section of the building for medical care. These rooms are private with their own dayroom and private bathroom. Withdrawals, even those medically managed, can take a few days to stabilize and we know you need that time to meet with the doctors daily, and have time to yourself. In medical detox you may take your meals in your room or in the dayroom. You may attend activities within the medical detox unit or you may opt out.

Some people find it helpful to be able to interact and take their mind off of themselves, others find it much more helpful to be able to relax and spend some alone time. It’s your choice. There is a cleaning crew that cleans up your room every day, and you can order off of our healthy menu whenever you like, unlike non-detox patients. We understand that your appetite may come and go as the drugs or alcohol leave your body. Your withdrawals are not on a schedule so neither are your meals during this time.

Wearing your own clothing during this time is optional as well. We have scrubs in various sizes that some people find are much nicer to wear so they don’t have to worry about laundry. If you choose to wear your own clothes, we will make arrangements to have them laundered if needed. Some may say we are “pampering” our patients or even “enabling” them! We know how hard this decision to stop using drugs and/or alcohol has been for you to make and we want you to be as comfortable as possible during this stressful time.

Once you are out of medical detox you will be shown to your spacious private or semi-private room. We offer both options as some patients find it comforting to have a roommate, while others find it very uncomfortable. At this time, one of your clinical staff will meet with you and orient you to the program, determine which groups and which therapist will be a good fit for you and conduct a thorough biopsychosocial assessment so you can receive personalized, individual care.

Our goal is to help you heal from any past traumas, mental health issues and your addictions. It is very important that you give us the most honest, complete answer to the questions we need to ask as possible. We have a number of specialized groups and a number of therapists who specialize in various disorders. If you have trauma issues, we would not want to put you into a group where you would not feel safe to disclose those issues, nor would we want to assign you a therapist with no specialized training in trauma.

Once you are oriented to the program, and groups and a therapist have been assigned you are introduced to the other patients or “residents”. These people will be like your surrogate family while you are with us. We have heard from patients that the bonds that are formed in the groups and during the activities are some of the strongest friendships they have experienced. It is comforting to be surrounded by people who know what you are feeling and what you are experiencing.

Sometimes, as our feelings come back from being numbed for many years, it is hard to find the right words to describe what’s happening to you internally. To be surrounded by peers who know what you are going through makes it safe to express yourself. You have spent years burying feelings and losing your voice. Now, it’s time to reestablish your presence on the planet and our staff is excited to help you accomplish this mission!

Groups are designed to address those issues you have that led to not only your addiction, but your inability to life fully and not live life in fear. Fear saps your energy and drives you to do things you don’t want to do. It causes you to live incongruent with your values and beliefs. Fear drives you to substances that numb you so we don’t have to feel fear. Groups can cause anxiety but you will soon find you are surrounded by staff and peers that take you seriously and only want what’s best for you. As time goes on, you will be able to pay that forward as new patients come in and you are now the experienced mentor.

We truly believe that service to others is a cornerstone to your recovery. There is something sacred about being entrusted with another human’s pain and fears and being able to walk them through the dark early days until they can see the light. There is no treatment that works faster than putting aside your “self” and reaching out to help a fellow traveler.  We are not out to cause a 12 steps addiction, but we recognize that in its most basic form, the 12th step of any 12 Step program is service to others. This premise has worked for over 50+ years and we believe it still works. If this is the only step you ever do, the rewards from helping someone out of their addiction are well worth it.

Our philosophy is simple: We are here for you. You deserve the help and time we will provide. Nothing you have done as an addict or alcoholic makes you any less worthy or deserving of our care. Unlike other programs who filter out “hard” patients, or who only seem to be successful because they only accept “easy” cases, we don’t categorize our patients that way.

No one is “hard” or “easy”. People are in pain, or clinically depressed or just have not been taught appropriate coping skills for the hard things life can throw at us.  No one asks to be hurt in life; sometimes it just happens. That’s not your fault! We will help you realize your true worth.  We will help you remember who you are before your “story” got hijacked by other people. We will help you rewrite your story how you want to be as a person; how you want to show up on the planet.

“I wanted a quality Christian rehab program. That was important to me. I was coming off of alcohol really bad and wanted to know that others could actually help me. Their Christian Drug  Recovery Center was there for me and put me in touch with just the right support group. When I was feeling better, I attended this group and have been going ever since!  -Abagail, age 27
