Do you have questions about you or a loved one’s possible drug addiction? Do you know how to recognize drinking withdrawal symptoms or prescription drug withdrawals are? |
Our Christian Recovery Program can answer all your questions. We will help you understand what is drug addiction, what prescription drug abuse treatment is, what is impatient treatment and how an Christian 12 Step Program not only works but is tailor made for those of the Christian faith.
A Christian 12 Step Program, uses a unique approach. Instead of working on secular 12 Step worksheets the we have developed a 12 Step Program that works on your spirituality, and has a uniquely Christian approach that we have found very helpful. The 12 Step groups incorporate scriptures as well as the 12 Steps. It is interesting that today, when so many are trying to separate all things spiritual from schools, rehabs, and government, if you read the Big Book of AA, the steps were based on the King James version of the Bible, and Christian values and living. The 12 Steps has taken that further and geared their program to fit the Christian beliefs and life style.
For the prescription drug addict or alcoholic who is Christian based, having your faith incorporated into the 12 Steps has increased success not only with the addictions, but helping patients return to their core beliefs. Those suffering from drug addiction or alcoholism often isolate themselves from friends, family and even their religious beliefs. They often believe they are not worthy to attend church or to sit among those they consider more spiritually worthy. By incorporating scriptures with the 12 Steps, our clients report feeling a sense of belonging and forgiveness and that they too are worthy to receive the blessings of attending church again. They realize they are not alone and that the Lord has not abandoned them, nor has God or his church.
In the past decade the treatment industry has recognized a need for specialized support for those members of faith suffering from addictions. The stigma and shame that invariably surrounds addictions has kept members abusing drugs and/or alcohol in secret fearing being disfellowshipped or even ex-communicated.
The Church’s response has been to make it clear that while each case is different, addiction alone will not result in those measures. The Church knows that to recover from addiction it requires love, compassion and understanding.
Our Christian Based Rehab recognizes the unique differences that each person’s spirituality or religion brings. We celebrate those differences and attempt to accommodate them when at all possible, that’s why we are excited to offer Christian Based Recovery Programs for our clients that prefer that method. We work closely with ecclesiastical leaders all over the country to make sure that when you go home, your local12 Step group will be a strong, loving support for you.
