Curious about true alcohol withdrawal symptoms timeline? The answer varies but usually after 48 hours you should experience some serious physical issues.

If you were wondering how long do alcohol withdrawal symptoms last, well that depends on the severity of the alcoholic but usually two weeks.

We receive numerous questions about alcohol abuse and withdrawals. How long does alcohol withdrawal symptoms last? How long does alcohol withdrawal last? We can answer all of your questions for you! So, how long do alcohol withdrawals last?

It depends on the person but generally, with no medical intervention about 2 weeks. This can be a miserable two weeks! The symptoms can last a while longer than the actual withdrawals, however.
Alcohol is deceptive. It takes a while to build up in your system, and it’s hard for the average person to gauge dependency because some of the signs of dependency can mimic a severe hangover as well. It also depends on how much you drink and when exactly you stopped as to how long do alcohol withdrawal last on average.

We obviously cannot guarantee how long alcohol withdrawal symptoms last. Our medical staff is here for you with answers and solutions. You may wonder how long does alcohol withdrawal take if I’m also using opiates or benzos? This really complicates the issue! Both benzos and alcohol work on the same part of the brain and coming off of both together can put you at high risk for seizures or death. Please do not try to detox off of alcohol or benzos without medical intervention! It is dangerous! Also, without the counseling to go with the detox, you will not learn any of the skills you need to make sure this never happens again.

There is a reason you drink or use drugs. For almost 99% of people it is a form of self-medicating for underlying mental health issues such as depression, anxiety or even trauma in your past. Our highly trained therapists can help you uncover exactly why you drink or use drugs. It is a coping mechanism for some of us, and a way for us to be that social, confident, admired person for some others of us.  No one wants to be an addict! We know that. We also know that if you are self-medicating, you will not get better until whatever issues you are running away rom are dealt with.

Our concern with alcohol withdrawals left untreated by a medical specialist is that you won’t survive the process. We want you to not only survive but thrive. That’s why you need our doctors to assist you with quitting drinking or using drugs. Our medical staff are some of the most caring, compassionate doctors and nurse you will ever find. They really “get it” and have only the desire to make you comfortable, safe and secure. They want to see you healthy, happy and back with family and loved ones as soon as reasonable. Our Christian Alcohol Rehab Center prides itself on putting you first, not the money!

“I wanted a quality Christian rehab program. That was important to me. I was coming off of alcohol really bad and wanted to know that others could actually help me. Their Christian Drug  Recovery Center was there for me and put me in touch with just the right support group. When I was feeling better, I attended this group and have been going ever since!  -Abagail, age 27
